The Performance Metals Australia Tas Sand Enduro outright silverware will head to the mainland with the SMU Racing team, after making history today with Hanson’s first outright win at the iconic Tasmanian event.Hanson with navigators Leigh and Glenn Wells completed the 100 lap sand enduro in 4h:55m stretching a four lap lead over local Scott Rockliff on 96 laps in 5h:02m. Rockliff was aiming for his fourth in a row St Helens victory but issues yesterday with CVs put him down on laps to Hanson.Third on the podium for tonight’s presentation is ProLite driver Darren Payne who completed 95 laps in 5h:03m.More to follow.
